Career Changes

Career Changes have been on my mind a lot the last week or so--prompted by: Christie wanting to change careers at at early age; a number of people I know that are my age that involuntarily find themselves having to change careers; one of our middle school teachers who is leaving teaching next week to move his family to Denver to take a job completely unrelated to teaching; a corporation president and his son being escorted out of the company that his grandfather started; the possibility that my job situation may change a bit next year.
What would I do if I were to make a career change? What would be my dream job? I've always wanted to be a harmonizing back-up type singer for some kind of group like the Supremes. That would be fun! I've dabbled at composing music. I always thought it would be fun to sit and play piano at a department store such as Von Maur's. Do people get paid for holding and rocking babies? What would be the endless (or perhaps minimal) possibilities for a person like me?
I really do love my job, now, though. But what if I had to face a change? I'm praying for "billboards" from God for all those people that I know that don't have a choice in the matter right now.

Billboards would be nice every now and then to make sure your making the right decision. Although a lot of people dont like change, I think its good every now and then. Change means new opportunities, new adventures, and new experiences. I like to think of it as that I'm not an expert in any particular area, but knowledgable in quite a few :) I'll be praying for a billboard to come your way as well.

Oooh baby love, my baby love. I can see you singing back up while holding babies. I'm not just saying this, you are good at everything you attempt. From singing to sewing to cooking to laying floor tile. With your talent, the possibilities are immense.

You would make a great supreme. Isn't it sad that a great educator such as yourself is subjected to budget cuts. This appalls me when I see the many imcompetent educators who are securely snuggled in their job.

I don't think they pay you but hospitals love volunteers who come rock the crack babies. I wanted to do it as a youth group project once but no one could get past how ridiculous it sounded.
