Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Morning

Many a young child will be disappointed today not to be able to hand out their carefully written, enveloped, and sorted valentines, but as for me, I'm happy to get the chance to look out at my snowy woods this morning and glad to know that I don't have "miles to go before I sleep". As for all the teachers around southeast Michigan and other parts of the country, they're probably glad about the day off also, but also realizing that they'll have to postpone their Valentine's parties till another day! Blessings on your day -- all you lovers out there!

At our school we already announced that if we didn't have school to day our Valentine's Day Dance would be cancelled, not postponed. I guess you can't do that to youngsters who took so much time to prepare for this day. We were actually going to have the dance after lunch during school hours, this is so much better to have no school than a dance in school.

Quinns class has decided to go ahead with the party today, if we don't have class today they wouldn't have school until next Friday, with the presidents day holiday and a field trip next Wednesday. Being he doesn't start school until 12:30 I think the roads should be fine.
