Spring has arrived , conditions were perfect, and so we had our second boat launch in the Schroeder River (otherwise known as a ditch). Grammy and kids made paper boats.
The Launch
The paper boats were deemed not seaworthy enough, so it was off to the workshop to build a wooden version.
The wooden version floats nicely and passes through the tunnel.
But the first mate decides the river isn't deep enough and decides to dredge it.
The regatta is a success!
Down the Schroeder River to join the Saline River, out to Lake Erie, and eventually the ocean! (Or maybe back to the workshop to be sailed again next summer!)
Notice you don't see too much of Avery--the wind proved a bit too much for her so she was in and out of the house!

Another day at the Schroeder Resort.
Your grandparent expertise is a hard act to follow. Building, dredging, building, sailing in my mind I'm inside with Avery stretched out on the couch.
I agree with Joyce, between Heidi, Emily, and yourself, you guys are a hard act to follow!! So many creative ideas!
