Home! What a Great Time!

Our vacation on top of vacation is over and I'm home. I've had some non-working internet or intermittent internet since I returned, so hopefully I can post this before it decides not to work again. (Grrr! Second attempt- my internet quit in the middle of this!)

With the exception of swimmer's itch, and a couple of sicknesses the vacation was picture perfect. We had a great time in Interlochen with some awesome weather, terrific boating, great meals, beautiful trips to Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear, theater at the Interlochen Art Camp, and wonderful times with family and friends!

Then Joyce and I jetted off to Providence, RI and a trip to Cape Cod. We had a visit with Jeanne, Anne, and Aaron, worship at a city church in Providence, a wonderful production of "Les Mis" with Aaron doing a terrific job as Marius. Then off to Cape Cod and the Ashley Manor Bed and Breakfast, which was beautiful, historic, clean, and comfortable. We explored the cape, took the ferry to Nantucket, had a lobster lunch, and went on a whale watching cruise. (I never dreamed we would see so many whales so close up-- it was amazing, with the only glitch being some seasickness for Joyce.) After three nights on Cape Cod we went back to RI and visited Newport with its beautiful mansions, seaside, and interesting historic area. We visited the Vanderbilt Mansion, "The Breakers" and another mansion "The Elms". We then went back to Providence where we stayed at the historic Providence Biltmore. Thanks to hotline.com we had an awesome 12th floor suite with two TV's and two king sized beds for only $100. We went shopping at a downtown mall, viewed the state capitol building, and ate at the "Cheesecake Factory". The next day we had a pleasant, prompt flight back to DTW and home! Our vacation is over except for lots of memories and pictures! Thank you Lord, for great times!
