"His Eye is on the Sparrow....and the Bluebird (see comment)"

One of my favorite songs, "His eye is on the sparrow...and I know He cares for me." God's eye must have been on our fireplace this morning. As we were reading our morning "Portals of Prayer" a sparrow came down to visit in our fireplace. I had to leave but I'm assuming Tom got it out of there to a safer and more comfortable place for God to keep His eye on him.

How I Spent My Spring Vacation

I have pictures in my camera to show some details about my spring vacation, but for some reason they're not downloading onto my computer. So I found some good substitutes that are pretty close (minus my grandkids).



Friday, Saturday, Sunday-- It was "Friday, but Sunday's a'comin" celebrations! Wonderful services and Easter dinner at Emily's. An Easter egg hunt and afternoon games. Fun! Thanks Bob and Em!

Monday and Tuesday--a trip down to Amish country in Holmes County, OH. Beautiful countryside, interesting sights, trip to Kidron Hardware Store (an amazing place), lunch with Pat and her friend Laurie--crummy weather.



The remainder of the week--working on revamping our front flower bed and retaining wall. The hard part is completed--the base row of gravel and wall blocks. Now we have TONS of blocks left to install on top of them. It will look something like this:


Now, back to the routine. But summer vacation will be here before we know it.

Good News--Bad News--Good News

The good news--I had a day off yesterday--I got part of my final project paper completed--I got to sleep in after I got my phone calls!

The bad news--It feels like February--I used my whole day off working on a paper--MSU lost--It was hard to get up this morning.

The good news--It's a short week this week--At the end of the week we get to celebrate the Resurrection--He is risen! He is risen indeed! A crocus coming out of the snow!
